Google’s core ranking algorithm has expanded from simple “mobile-friendly” checks to a swath of accessibility requirements across all device types, with the goal of ensuring that every searcher that Google sends to your site is actually able to use your site. These items range from testing for the simple ability to zoom in on your site on mobile, to ARIA accessibility label navigation for screen readers. This session will highlight common accessibility pitfalls that are also part of Google’s ranking algorithm, with real-world examples from our experience as the SEO agency to big retail brands.
