 | Brett Tabke, Founder and CEO Brett Tabke is the Founder and CEO of WebmasterWorld and chair of PubCon conferences. Tabke started PHD Software Systems while in college in 1984. Tabke ran a consulting business throughout the '80s doing contract programming for large corporations. Tabke authored several books on assembly language programming for Western Design on the 65816 micro processor. Tabke was the noted author of Karma 128, a leading edge assembler for the 65816 processor. Tabke has run community networking sites continuously since 1984. He was also featured in the Biography Channel special on the Google founders. Tabke was a founding board member of SEMPO (Search Engine Marketing Professionals Organization). In addition to the thousands of educational posts he has written for the WebmasterWorld audience, he has authored a chapter for the best selling "Google Hacks" book. | | |
 | Jeff Randall, PubCon Director of Operations Jeff is the Director of Operations for PubCon, WebmasterWorld's series of conferences. In addition, he is a co-founder of Clever Web Marketing, an SEO/SEM company specializing in expanding the online presence of small and medium sized businesses. Jeff originally entered the Internet business world as a Vice President for RBS Interactive, where he successfully oversaw the development of a Web-based service matching clients with home improvement contractors. Before becoming a part of the Internet revolution, Jeff worked as the Director of Enrollment Services for a respected private university in the Northwest. | | |
 | Neil Marshall, Director of WebmasterWorld Forum Operations Neil is senior administrator at WebmasterWorld and has worked with a team of other administrators and moderators for many years to ensure the highest quality discussions on the site. Neil also co-founded MJPR, a publicity and design services agency, in 1988 and previously worked as an account manager with a major UK-based communications agency. Prior to that he was in technical sales and marketing at a large telecommunications, electronics, electrical and industrial group of companies. In 1995 Neil recognised the potential offered by the Internet, and developed a keen interest in leading-edge search engine techniques, Internet research and utilization of the Internet in search engine marketing. | | |
 | Joe Morin, WebmasterWorld Evangelist Joe is the WebmasterWorld Evangelist, and a PubCon organizer. Joe is also a Partner with Boost Search Marketing, an International Internet Marketing Consultancy whose main charter is helping multi-national corporations and enterprise-level Web sites with their Internet marketing strategy. These pursuits keep Joe busy and on the road a lot. Even when he's not traveling for business, Joe is usually traveling for fun. | | |
 | Lane R. Ellis, Lead Editor, SearchEngineWorld Lane R. Ellis has over 25 years experience working with and writing about the Internet. In 1984 he started operating a computer bulletin board system in Denver, Colorado, which has led him on a long and productive path working with the Internet and, since 1993, the Web. Lane writes about current search industry news as Lead Editor for SearchEngineWorld. Prior to joining WebmasterWorld, Lane worked in the Web development and engineering fields beginning in the 1980s with Commodore Amiga software and hardware maker Proressive Peripherals and Software. When he's not writing about Google or Yahoo!, Lane enjoys distance running, genealogy, cross-country skate skiing, and spending time with his wonderful wife Julie and their three cats in Duluth, Minnesota. | | |
 | Vanessa Zamora, Video Content Producer, WebmasterWorld Vanessa Zamora serves as Video Content Producer and Lead Correspondent for
WebmasterWorld, where she is responsible for creating and maintaining all
online video content, including interviews at leading industry conferences.
Zamora's focus is on search, Internet marketing, new media, social media, and
webmastery, as well as the production of promotional videos to publicize the
PubCon series of conferences. Zamora is a graduate of the University of Texas
at Austin with a B.A. in Communication Studies. | | |
 | Matt Wilson, Lead Perl Developer Matt is the newest member of the WebmasterWorld team, joining as Lead Perl Developer. He started working in the Internet space in the mid-'90s, at first as a hobby developing Web pages. He comes most recently from LibreDigital (formerly NewsStand,) where he worked his way through several positions including Digital Products Project Manager and finally Sales Engineer. Most of his time was spent developing prototypes of new Web-based applications to support core business functions. Matt holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, which he received in 2003. | | |
 | Erin Cheatham, Administrative Assistant Erin graduated in 2008 from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Advertising. It was in college that Erin found her passion for Internet marketing. Throughout her college career she interned at nFusion LLC, an Internet advertising agency, and at IBM where she gained experience that built upon her already growing curiosity about Internet marketing. After graduation Erin worked at Adlucent, a small Austin-based SEM company, where she was an SEM Account Coordinator for a Fortune 500 client. Erin joined the WebmasterWorld team in June 2009 and is currently going back to school studying to be a dental hygienist. | | |
 | Erika Tabke, Manager, Special Projects Erika has worked on various special projects for WebmasterWorld since early 2003. She has extensive experience in usability research, design and consulting. Prior to joining WebmasterWorld, she was at SmartPrice.com where she was a director of marketing. In addition to her current work with WebmasterWorld, Erika also keeps one foot in her other career: oncology nursing. She works on call for her favorite doctors as needed. She holds two advanced degrees: a Master's in Sociology and a Master of Science in Nursing. | | |
