PubCon To Rock Las Vegas At Social Rewards Loyalty Program Launch |
PubCon founder and chief executive Brett Tabke will be in Las Vegas on Friday, August 20, 2010 to take part in the launch of Social Rewards, a social media loyalty platform that turns tweets, likes and check-ins into rewards, and to
celebrate PubCon's participation in the new program.
Social Rewards August 20 tweet-up launch event will take place at Lagasse's Stadium at The Palazzo, joining The Venetian as five-diamond, four-star initial resort partners in the social media loyalty program's Las Vegas market, and will come on the heels of Social Rewards platform debut with electronics leader Sanyo on Thursday, August 19 during Connected Marketing Week in San Francisco.
The premise of Social Rewards is to take existing brand loyalty program members that have social media tendencies and reward them for their loyalty and word-of-mouth activities with program points that can be redeemed for tangible goods and services, said Joseph Morin, chief executive of Social Rewards. Our system is also designed to easily create customized programs for companies that do not already have an existing loyalty
program, added Morin.
The new Social Rewards platform rewards peer-to-peer recommendations in social media, as Morin explained. Peer-to-peer recommendations have long been considered to be the strongest form of advertising, and Social Rewards is going
to change the way retailers think and engage in social media as we turn tweets into sales, noted Morin, who is also our resident PubCon evangelist.
We're thrilled to have PubCon take part in the Social Rewards program, with the tremendous conference and event marketing capabilities it offers, features we plan to utilize in the coming months during the run-up to our big PubCon Las Vegas 2010 conference on November 8 - 11, 2010.
Social Rewards features a complex back-end infrastructure with the ability to track brand mentions and sales
activity, and offers a complete analytics package for highlighting top brand advocates and conversions resulting from a brand's most influential users.
Social Rewards is designed to work with a brands existing loyalty program or to provide a platform for creating and customizing a new one, all while monitoring and tracking tweets, location-based check-ins such as Foursquare, Facebook likes and fan activity.
Gaming giant Tropicana Las Vegas was Social Rewards' initial launch beta partner earlier this month, and as an early adopter of social media has already seen initial success with the Social Rewards program.
We continue to have a strong social media presence, but until recently did not have a social loyalty program to reward our brand ambassadors, said Brandie Feuer, head of marketing, public relations and innovation for Tropicana Las Vegas. Social Rewards provides us with a way to do this, added Feuer, who was a speaker at last year's PubCon Las Vegas "Marketing Rock Stars of the Vegas Strip" keynote panel.
Join us at The Palazzo on Friday, August 20 as PubCon helps celebrate the launch of Social Rewards, and be sure to help us support this exciting new platform by making Social Rewards a part of your social media life.
Thanks,
Lane R. Ellis
