Thanks to all of you who took part in our Twitter contest during the highly successful

Pubcon Las Vegas 2011 search and social media conference last month.

 

Thousands of you produced an astounding volume of quality conversation on Twitter during Pubcon Las Vegas 2011. The winners of our Twitter contest are:

Grand prize: Brian McDowell @brian_mcdowell
Runner up: Lauren Litwinka @beebow

Third place: Scott Cowley @scottcowley

 

Grand prize-winner McDowell is co-founder and director of customer search strategies at Conductor,

Inc., and his tweet stream during Pubcon Las Vegas 2011 was chosen as the best, for which he will receive round-trip domestic airfare for one, four nights hotel accommodations and a Platinum Pass for Pubcon Paradise 2012 on February 13 – 15 in Honolulu, Hawaii.

 

Runner-up Litwinka is publications manager and online account manager at aimClear, and for her voluminous and helpful tweets she will win an Apple iPad and a Platinum Pass for Pubcon Paradise 2012.

 

Third-place winner Cowley is head of SEO at ZAGG, and for his sizable stream of excellent tweets he will receive a Platinum Pass for Pubcon Paradise 2012.

Up-to-the-second tweets about Pubcon, the world’s biggest search and social media conference, were flying furiously back and forth among thousands of busy attendees on Twitter, making the #Pubcon hashtag extremely popular during the week.

 

Winners were determined by an examination of all entered tweets from which a panel of Pubcon employees selected three prize-winners based on those tweets that were considered to be the best, factoring in which tweets provide the best search or social media tips, advice or take-aways learned during Pubcon Las Vegas 2011, which ones offered the top "Why I come to Pubcon" moments, and which tweets were consistently helpful and insightful to all Pubcon attendees.
