““There is just something special about PubCon!”” — conference veteran Barry Schwartz

PubCon Las Vegas 2010, the premier new media and optimization conference, concluded last week, and thanks to a record number of enthusiastic attendees and speakers from around the world it is sure to go down as the largest and most successful search-related event ever, and as the best show in PubCon’s decade-plus history.

A record 200-plus exceptional speakers converged on the Las Vegas Convention Center last week, packing over 100 sessions and eight sub-conferences into an amazing week of search and social media the way only PubCon can do it.

Thanks to all of you who came out to PubCon Las Vegas 2010 and propelled it to becoming our largest and most remarkable conference yet.

As attendees, speakers, keynote participants, sponsors and exhibitors, your extraordinary energy and willingness to share made PubCon Las Vegas 2010 a shining success like never before.

PubCon Las Vegas 2010 keynote speakers David Pogue, Tim Mayer, Sarah Evans, Scott Stratten, Chris Brogan, and Brian Clark delivered knock-out presentations to thrilled record-setting standing-room-only crowds.

Three full days of networking lunches were well attended as many of you took advantage of opportunities to speak with some of the more than 30 top speakers who participated in this PubCon tradition.

The PubCon Las Vegas 2010 exhibition hall drew large numbers of interested attendees from around the world, and more than a dozen of our speakers signed books at the Barnes and Noble book-signing booth.

The party and networking event scene at PubCon Las Vegas 2010 was better than ever, with TweetUps, PubCon Classic, our new PubCrawl, and after-hours parties at some of the hottest clubs in Las Vegas all joining to give attendees more opportunities for networking and fun than any one person could possibly manage.

The Venetian and Blue Man Group Las Vegas teamed up with PubCon for a major ticket giveaway on Twitter that saw more than 200 of you attend Blue Man Group shows throughout the week.

Both PubCon veterans and large numbers of first-time attendees took part in a very special week of all things search and social media, kicking off on Monday with the largest and most successful PubCon Masters Group training program we’ve ever had, including a riveting training keynote by Scott Stratten.

Special thanks to PubCon founder and chief executive Brett Tabke for the vision and persistence that have played a huge part in driving the fantastic growth and success that made last week’s PubCon Las Vegas 2010 a major success.

Thanks to PubCon director of operations Jeff Randall for his careful and extensive planning, and to evangelist Joe Morin, director of forum operations Neil Marshall, video content producer and correspondent Vanessa Zamora, director of special projects Erika Tabke, lead developer Matt Wilson, office manager and fashion consultant Cathy Benavides, and to Amanda Randall for assisting Cathy in overseeing on-site conference registration.

Thanks to Wynn Las Vegas, the official hotel of PubCon Las Vegas 2010, and to The Palms Las Vegas, New York New York Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, The Venetian, The Palazzo Las Vegas, and Blue Man Group for helping to make this year’s PubCon the largest ever. We also thank gold sponsor Raven Internet Marketing Tools and all of our many other sponsors, media partners, and exhibitors, who will be featured in a separate blog post soon.
