Scott Hendison is the CEO and president of Search Commander Inc. based in Portland, Oregon. Scott was a computer retailer from 1997 – 2002, and built a successful on site repair business through Pay Per Click and organic search engine optimization.

This early entry into search marketing enabled his own business, to gain front page search results for computer repair, web hosting, and Internet consulting, establishing a foothold for many phrases that remain entrenched in the top of the SERPS to this day.

In 2003, Search Commander was formed to focus exclusively on search engine marketing, and today they work with the decision-makers, marketing departments, web designers and IT staff at medium to large sized companies in 5 countries. The goal is to maximize search related efforts though education and company participation.

Scott is married with two kids, and active in his local business community as a founding member of Search Engine Marketers of Portland. SEMpdx is a non-profit group offering monthly educational meetings, guest speakers, and puts on a large regional search marketing show called SearchFest, that takes place in March each year, in Portland Oregon.
