Scott Hendison is the CEO of Search Commander Inc. and the creator of SEO Automatic. Based in Portland, Oregon, Scott was a computer retailer from 1997–2002, and built a successful computer repair business through PPC and organic search.
This early entry into search marketing enabled his business to gain front page search results for computer repair, web hosting, and Internet consulting, establishing a foothold for many phrases that remain entrenched in the top of the SERPS to this day.
In 2003, Search Commander, Inc. was formed to focus exclusively on search engine marketing, and he began consulting with the decision-makers, marketing departments, and IT staff at companies of various sizes, to maximize their efforts with education and company participation.
In 2007, Scott scaled back on client work to just a selected few, and became much more focused on affiliate marketing. Working with Scott on affiliate projects over the years has enabled his staff to develop their own properties as well, contributing to their future success and independence.
Scott is also a founding board member of SEMpdx (Search Engine Marketers of Portland), a non-profit group offering monthly educational meetings, guest speakers, and producers of a regional search marketing conference - SearchFest - which takes place each March in Portland, Oregon.
