Ralf got into e-commerce, when he opened one of the first internet shopping malls in Germany in 1995 at the age of 22. His background as a game developer and book author on the Commodore AMIGA helped him to thrive in the new internet era.
He is an active member of the Linux community and sponsors serveral Open Source projects with time and money.
In 2004 he started Tradebit.com as a trading platform for digital goods (downloads). This platform runs on a self-made LAMP cluster of 16 nodes and serves more than 4 million requests daily (August 2010) for over twenty thousand merchants.
He is a coder with a business mind.
