Nathan has been immersed in public relations for Hawaii's travel and tourism industry for 12 years, highlighted by his work on some of the state's top destination marketing campaigns, leading a team that has brought in dozens of popular national television shows from the Travel Channel, Food Network, Cooking Channel, TLC, Bravo, and more.
A vice president at McNeil Wilson Communications - a division of Anthology Marketing Group, Hawaii's largest full-service integrated marketing company - Nathan's primary responsibility is managing the firm's PR activities for the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau, the state's marketing agency for North America, and the Big Island Visitors Bureau accounts.
In his 11 years at McNeil Wilson, Nathan is actively involved in the workings of McNeil Wilson, a chief strategist on social media initiatives, involved in new business development, coordinating professional staff development and growth opportunities, overseeing the firm's internship program, and monitoring industry trends affecting Hawai'i, business, marketing, communications, and tourism.
Nathan is a past president of the Public Relations Society of America - Hawaii Chapter, has served on its Board of Directors, and has been an active member since 1999. He is currently the Chapter's Programs Chair.
Nathan is a proud graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism/public relations. When he's not working (which isn't very often), he enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, reading, eating, cooking, and learning to playing the guitar.
