Over the past 15 years Mort has sold Interactive, print and TV advertising. Currently, Mort is the VP Sales for NBC Universal's Local Integrated Media Group. In this role Mort works with the O&O TV Stations to package and sell inventory with an emphasis on the digital assets available in the top major US markets.

Prior to NBCU Mort was the head of global sales, and 2nd US employee for Tel Aviv based Metacafe, the world's largest independent video site at the time. At Metacafe Mort built the sales team, and related infrastructure, which lead to selling the first branded entertainment experiences in the online video space.

Before Metacafe Mort was the VP, Sales Strategy & Development for IAC Advertising Solutions (IACAS), a division of IAC/InterActiveCorp (IACI). There Mort worked with the IAC business owners (Ticketmaster, Citysearch, Evite, Match.com, Expedia, etc...) to find ways to monetize their pages with ads while maintaining the integrity of the eCommerce platform most IAC businesses operate.

Until moving to the media division, Mort held roles as the VP of Client Services & Operations for all of IACAS, and previously head of search sales. Mort played a key role creating AJ Interactive in 2004, bringing 3 sales companies into 1, and then working to create IACAS in 2005. The last merged Ask Jeeves AJ Interactive and IAC's Partner Marketing teams.

Prior to joining Jeeves In 2001 Mort was involved in the start-up of the Integrated Marketing team at iWon.com in 2000, and earlier was part of the sales start-up group at Excite.com in 1996. Before Excite Mort worked for Capital Cities/ABC Publishing Group and Blair Television.

Mort received a B.A in International Relations & Economics from the State University of New York, at New Paltz. Mort lives in NYC with his wife, and 5 year old twins. When he is not being beaten up by his kids Mort sneaks away as far as he can to go mountain biking, skiing, and rock/ice climbing.
