MGM Grand

An advertising and marketing professional with over 20 years experience, Michael Perhaes joined MGM Grand in April 2005. In his current role as Assistant Vice President of Marketing, Michael oversees all marketing, advertising and collateral efforts for MGM Grand's hotel, its various departments and venues, including Cirque du Soleil's K, Studio 54, Tabu Ultra Lounge, Wet Republic (MGM Grand's new ultra pool), restaurants, lounges, and various events. He manages agency relationships supporting the conceptualization and execution of MGM Grand's brand campaign and all tactical efforts. These include national consumer print, out-of-home media, on-property and in-room messaging, online and email marketing, social media and mobile marketing. Additionally, his team supports all marketing efforts for The Signature at MGM Grand, a new three-tower, 1,728 room hotel-condominium property adjoining the MGM Grand.

Prior to joining MGM Grand, Michael held positions at LLKFB (Now Unit 7), Wavexpress, MVBMS Euros RSCG, and Time Inc. New Media and American Hawaii Cruises.

Michael majored in painting and drawing at the University of Hawaii, Manoa, and art history at San Francisco State University. Additional study includes communication design at Parsons School of Design, and film & video art direction at The School of Visual Arts in New York City

Michael is a member of the Mobile Marketing Association, the Las Vegas Interactive Marketing Association, a founding member of the Outdoor Advertising Association of America's creative committee, and serves on MGM MIRAGE's mobile marketing and email marketing committees.

A native of New York City, he and his wife, Serena, make their home in Las Vegas, with their 4 year old son, Jackson.
