Laura Thieme founded Bizresearch in June of 1997 and is celebrating her company's tenth anniversary this year. Bizresearch provides search engine marketing, tracking and ROI analysis services for retailers, manufacturers and Fortune 500 companies throughout the United States.Prior to founding Bizresearch, Ms. Thieme worked for American Electric Power (AEP) in Columbus, Ohio, and USAID/Deloitte & Touché in St. Petersburg, Russia. In 1993, she graduated with a degree in Russian Studies from The Ohio State University. Ms. Thieme was recently profiled as a “Rising Star” by Columbus CEO Magazine and “Women to Watch” by Business First. In addition to her extensive media exposure, Ms. Thieme is also a familiar face in many trade events. She is a regular speaker at the U.S., Canadian and European Search Engine Strategies conferences on Measuring Success, Marketing Database-Driven Web Sites, Shopping Search Engines, and Tracking ROI on Paid Search. Ms. Thieme is teaching Principles of Electronic Marketing at Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University, and developed two advanced courses for the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO). She is an expert witness in a case involving trademark and metatag concerns. Ms. Thieme has written numerous articles for her industry peers such as Measuring and Tracking Success, Keyword Research, Link Farms, and Managing Paid Search Marketing Campaigns published by SearchDay, an online industry publication for search marketers.
