After spending eight years as an award-winning kindergarten teacher and team leader in the prestigious Plano, Texas Independent School District, Katherine Wright decided to become a stay-at-home Mom after the birth of her third child. While working with her children, she also began to concentrate on improving her skills of, what until then, had been her hobby of photography. It wasn't long before friends and family began requesting to pay Wright to photograph their families and special events.
In 2010, Wright formed iMamarazzi Studios, a photography and design studio that concentrates on natural light photography for families and special events. iMamarazzi Studios has grown from a stay-at-home Mom's dream to one of the larger independent photography studios in the North Dallas area. The studio's inventory includes thousands of dollars in equipment and the respect of photographers worldwide.
iMamarazzi Studios growth has been attributed to nothing but word of mouth and a unique earned and paid advertising campaign on one channel - Facebook. The studio has been to generate a substantial profit through Facebook advertising without a traditional Web presence - although a Website is being built for the studio (set to launch Spring 2014).
Wright lives in Allen, Texas with her husband, Tony Wright (owner of interactive marketing firm WrightIMC) and their four children - Nathan (age 8), Preston (age 4), Allison (age 2), and Tiegan (age 1.). She is also active in St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Plano, Texas and is a frequent volunteer at her childrens' schools.
