IVFConnections.com

Erika Tabke is the President and Editor-in-Chief of IVFConnections.com, an online news and discussion site for those dealing with IVF or other infertility-related issues. IVFConnections is a recent purchase; Erika jumped at the opportunity to purchase the community and then she merged it with her previous site, dotIVF.com. After a total rebrand, the new IVFConnections was successfully launched.

After earning her Master's degree in sociology, Erika spent several years as a project director at two high-tech marketing research companies. She led dozens of quantitative and qualitative projects, honed her analytical skills and learned the qualitative arts of focus groups and in-depth interviews.

In 2000, she jumped at the chance to help start a marketing team at a new startup, SmartPrice.com -- a twice-funded company that made it through the dot-com crazies. She developed a talent for SEO & SEM, and used her research background to perfect her skills in usability, site architecture & testing, and online customer research.

Erika realized there were growing opportunities online for healthcare services and information that were not being met. She immersed herself in her goal to become an expert in the care of people, completing a second Master's degree -- this time in nursing. As a Holistic Adult Health nurse, Erika's expertise includes oncology, infertility, and healthcare research methods. She takes joy in finding and connecting people who need each other for support with their health concerns.

When not working on IVFConnections, Erika spends a great deal of time with her newest motorcycle: a rare 1990 GB500. "Don't touch Mom's motorcycle, please," is the phrase most often heard when she is in the garage with her 3 year old. Erika lives in Austin, Texas with her husband Brett and their daughter Eleanor. She is proud to be a part of the WebmasterWorld community, and credits Brett and WebmasterWorld for the drive to improve her knowledge and tackle new projects.
