PubCon South Comes During Peak Austin Festival Season
This year PubCon South is being held at an ideal time to
take in Austin's famous music, film and interactive media festivals and events,
many of which begin
as PubCon wraps up, providing added incentive to make an extended stay or family
vacation in the technology and entertainment hub of Texas.
Re-energize and refocus your business efforts with the
PubCon South 2009 conference in Austin, home to many successful dot com businesses and
major technology companies such as Dell Inc., Advanced Micro Designs (AMD) and
PubCon parent company WebmasterWorld Inc., with many other firms such as
Samsung, IBM, Freescale, National Instruments, and Motorola sporting offices in
the city.
The unique combination of hardware, software, and dot com
technology industries make Austin one of the most vibrant and active United
States technology centers outside of Silicon Valley, in a setting sometimes
referred to as the Silicon Hills due to its proximity
to the beautiful Texas hill country with wall-to-wall trees and spectacular
rolling countryside.
With PubCon South taking over Austin, opportunities abound to
explore one of the great music and party towns in the U.S., highlighted by a
Sixth Street district that will be bursting with activity both during and after
the conference as the music, film and interactive festival scene comes
alive.
As the Live Music Capital of the U.S., Austin sports more
live bands playing on a Friday night per capita than any other city in the world,
especially during the period when PubCon South will be held.
